With the release of the 4th book of the “Camping in High Heels” novels – “Camping in High Heels: Yellowstone”, I thought I would give you a bit of why I love writing these books.
While I was growing up and until my parents retired in 2007, I worked with them in the family business. They owned three RV dealerships – two in South Carolina and one in North Carolina. We were lucky to be able to camp all over the United States and I have so many memories of some great times that I got to share with my family
I also had the privilege of being able to sit with our customers and listen to their camping stories. I sure hear some tales over the years! Some that made me laugh till I thought I couldn’t breath and others that would bring a tear to my eyes. I got very close to some of our customers and loved how they shared their camping lifestyle with me.
As I write Kate’s adventures as she travels around the United States, I get the itch to get on the road and go exploring again. I would actually like to take the exact route Kate’s is taking in the books! I think that would make a great vacation!
All I can say is that if you haven’t been camping before, it’s really a lot of fun. And if you aren’t into being out in nature, you can actually go “Glamping” now – experience the great outdoors and have the luxury of a resort. The best of both worlds!
“Camping in High Heels: Yellowstone” is now on sale and I’m writing the next book in the series: “Camping in High Heels: Niagara Falls”. It’s going to be more fun times for Kate and Brandon!
Big Hugs!

I have been tent camping! We would go for 4 the of July with a big group of family! We had a great time! It was so fun!!I miss it!
I’ve been tent camping and in an RV. Have encountered skunks and raccoons on the way to the bathrooms. Met a fox when I was 10 in Maine tent camping. We just looked at each other and went the other way😁.
We used to camp with my hubby’s family. Campers and tents, all in a big circle. His dad, who I called “Old Man”, cooked breakfast every morning. And every morning he’d ask me how I wanted my eggs. I don’t like eggs and never wanted any but he still asked! Thanks for reminding me of the memories!
