Reducing stress is wonderful medicine for the body and mind.
If you read my blog yesterday, you might have heard a hint of stress. Last week was difficult with health issues and trying to finish a project that is long overdue. But this idea of working on our stress together has been nagging at me for some time.
I think when we gather together with a like-minded goal, we can work better. We can hold each other accountable in a positive way to encourage growth in each person. Stress is a part of everyone’s life, whether it’s positive or negative. So why don’t we work together to help each other stress less?
There were two reasons I started writing stories and novels: 1) three of my doctors asked me to write a non-fiction book of my story as both a patient and a caregiver at the same time and 2) writing was a way of helping me control my stress levels while being able to help others. I hoped my personal story of health and relationship issues I had overcome would help others in similar circumstances. But I wanted my fiction novels to be a place where people could get away to another world, get lost in the story and leave with a happy feeling.
Finding those things in your life that help release stress and brings you some happiness is essential. I have to admit that I still work on releasing stress every day but with more practice, the stress does ease up because I’m choosing to see circumstances in life differently.
In my upcoming blogs, you will probably see more information on how we can work together to release stress, helping each other through the process. I want to keep it positive just like I do in real life and my books. We all know that you can’t achieve positivity 100% of the time but, it’s worth the effort.
