According to the weather we’ve been experiencing, it’s certainly summer though the calendar says it’s still a few weeks away. But in the spirit of the summertime, I’ve developed my own “Summer Camp” experience for the next three months.
I remember summer camp as a child. I only went twice but it was so much fun. Recently I heard about my friend’s children and grandchildren going to camp and it brought back a ton of memories. That’s when I decided to create my own “Summer Camp” experience this year!
Last week was all about books. I went to three authors’ book signings and had a blast. Since things have been a little chaotic in my world, it was nice to be back among books, bookstores, authors I adore and meeting new readers. Plus, I got to pick up some new novels for summer reading!
This week’s activities revolve around getting crafty! Crafts are always a part of summer camp activities. I know you’re probably thinking: you already do so many crafts! And you’d be right. But there are some projects I’d like to do that I haven’t tried before or it’s been a long time since I made that craft project. So watch my social media stories for my progress.
I had to choose indoor activities because we are finally getting some much-needed rain. The percentages are pretty high through Thursday so it’s indoor activities for me. But my lawn is green again and the plants are perking up!
What do you have planned for the summer? Anything exciting? I’d love to hear about it. And if you’re doing your own “summer camp” experience, let me know.
Now on to today’s Journal Prompts!
This week it’s about habits. We all have them so why not write about them!
- What is your best habit?
- What is your worst habit?
- What is one habit you would like to gain?
- What is one habit you have you want to get rid of but it’s difficult to do?
- What bad habits in others bother you the most?
- What good habits in others do you admire?
- Have you been successful before in the past developing a good habit or getting rid of a bad habit?
I love these questions! This is a great way to see what you want to change in your life and what is already working. Happy Journaling!
