When you visit Islamorada in the Florida Keys, a must stop and see is Founder’s Park. I actually found this park by accident on one of our trips.
We happened to be driving down Hwy 1 and I saw what looked to be a visitor’s center. When we popped in to take a look, we found that there was a beautiful park facility behind the building. This park is huge with so many activities from a Olympic size swimming pool that can host dive competitions, an amphitheater that is home to plenty of concerts and a large marina for all size boats. But this is just the beginning of what you can do at Founder’s Park.
There are plenty of places for the perfect picnic. And of course there is the beach! Founder’s Park had a stunning beach lined with palm trees – the perfect tropical setting. You can go snorkeling, swimming, even paddle boarding here. As for me, I’m just content to relax floating in the water or sit in the sun soaking up the island vibe.
Make sure when you visit Islamorada that you put Founder’s Park on your list of places to see. I think you’ll like it as much as I do.
PS – It’s that time again! The winner of yesterday’s prize of a $10.00 Amazon gift card is Liz Dubelman! I will be sending you an email shortly.
Today’s giveaway prize is your choice of the Kindle version of one of the “Florida Keys Novels”. Good Luck!
Love that tropical vibe!
