Friends are such an important part of life so on Day 28 of “Thankful November”, I’m so grateful for my friends.
I was very lucky growing up to have an abundance of friends. From those at school to pen pals across the globe, I loved everyone of them. As I look back now, each person taught me something that I would later use in life.
I’m blessed to have friends that I made when I was 5 and 6 years old that I still talk to today! I love that we have kept in touch over the years especially after high school when most people go their separate ways.
My best friend I actually met online in 2015. I wanted to learn more about Photoshop and saw this woman’s artwork. I took a chance to send her a message through Facebook and she agreed to talk to me the very next day. Our first conversation was 4 hours long! And we’ve been talking ever since. Even though we don’t live close (she is in Florida and me in South Carolina), Donna and I talk almost every day through FaceTime chats. When we do get to see each other in person, it’s as though I just saw her yesterday because in a way I did! She has listened to me when I needed to talk, been there for me as I have faced some tough times that were particularly stressful but she has also celebrated my successes with me too. And I do the same for her – I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So if you have some special friends in your life, make sure to tell them how grateful you are for their presence in your life.
What are you thankful for today?
