For Day 18 of “Thankful November” I’m grateful for something that might sound strange: Imagination.
Today I went with my husband and mom to see the movie “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald” (which was good especially if you are a Harry Potter fan like me!). As we sat watching the credits at the end of the movie, I started thinking about how all this began. How one woman – JK Rowling – used her imagination to create the boy wizard, Harry Potter. Using her creativity and imagination, she brought to life a world that has captured the hearts of so many around the world. Had she not decided to take a chance on her dream, writing about what she had imagined – well that’s hard to comprehend!
I sometimes think my imagination is on overload. I have at least fifteen potential novel ideas, jewelry designs ready to try, a new crocheting technique that I think will make a unique art piece, alcohol ink painting ready to go, making handmade journals and so much more! I’m so thankful that I have tapped into my creativity. Not only do I get to create new worlds through my books, crafts and art projects but I also get to share it with the world and encourage others to tap into their imagination (creativity).
Now back to finishing that novella I’m working on since I’ve come up with some new scenes for the book! That’s imagination at work!
So what are you grateful for today?
Big Hugs!
Miki
