On this 13th Day of “Thankful November” I’m so grateful for my collection of candles.
Yes, that’s right – candles! I love them and have since I was a teenager. There is something about the soft glow of a flickering flame that can turn a room into a relaxation spot, a romantic evening, or just a feeling of coziness that permeates the atmosphere where a candle glows.
For the longest time, I used soy candles, but after leaving a candle burning all night once (I was SO LUCKY that nothing bad happened), I started looking into battery operated candles that would give that same glow like a real candle or at least something close to it. After a thorough search, I found a brand that I loved and now have battery operated candles with built-in timers that come on each evening. They are all over the house, nearly in each room and I love it! As I walk through my home in the evening, our little beach house looks so inviting and cozy. I also have fairy lights that have timers that we leave up all year long and make the house look and feel special.
So with candles, fairy lights, soft blankets, fuzzy socks, and sweaters, we are ready for winter weather.
So what are you grateful for today?
