Today is special in the United States. On Day 11 of “Thankful November” I want to share my appreciation for all the veterans of this great nation: it’s Veteran’s Day.
With my extended family being as large as it is, we have many veterans among us. My dad served in the Air Force, my grandfather served in World War 2, and my great-grandfather served in World War 1. I have multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins that have served our country or are in active duty today.
I want to thank all those, men and women, who have chosen to be of service to our country to protect the freedoms we have. As Americans, I think we sometimes forget that the freedoms and blessings we have come from those who willingly put their lives on the line for our country or are currently serving this great nation of ours. Today, we take time to remember those people: past and present.
If you get the chance today, say thank you to a veteran or someone in active duty for service to our country. They are keeping us safe and free!
So what are you grateful for today?
