Sometimes You Need A Little Self-Care

Well today I had to take some time off. A little self-care was definitely needed! Actually, this is the first time on the computer today, just to write my blog.

When I was younger I was very prone to Migraine headaches. Anyone that has had them will let you know that they can really put a crimp in your day (and night!). As I’ve gotten older, the Migraines diminished but another type of headache took its place: Occipital and Trigeminal Neuralgia. Let’s just say OUCH! These headaches/neck aches/shoulder pain combos are really tough. And today I have had one. So I’ve taken the day off except for fixing my foods. When I haven’t been dozing off and on, I have watched a movie and a little TV. This is when Netflix really comes in handy!

I have realized that there are times in life when you have to put yourself first. Today was one of those days for me. I had plans this evening: we were going to see an outdoor movie at one of our local parks. But I think I’ll be watching some more TV instead. That is unless I’m dozing again.Relax, Relaxation, Self-Care

Remember: if you are having a tough day, try to make a plan for some self-care. It’s good for you physically and mentally.
