I can’t believe we are almost to the end of June! This summer is flying by and I’m having so much fun with my “Summer Camp” activities plus writing these journal prompts. But first let’s talk about my “Camp” fun last week.
“Summer Camp” Week 3 for me was all about farmer’s markets. I LOVE going to these places where you can get fresh local produce, meat, chicken, cheese, honey and so much more. Helps me stay on a fresh, non-processed whole foods eating plan! I don’t know about your local markets but ours have much more than just food.
This week I saw everything from homemade soaps, jewelry, barn signs, fresh baked goods (that were very hard to walk away from), clothing and people playing music. I love it! It was festive, fun and cheery. The only thing that would have made it better would have been temperatures in the 80s instead of the 90s! I got to meet so many interesting people as they would tell me about their crafts (especially the goat farmer and the cheese and soaps he makes).
We have so many farmer’s markets around Charleston that I couldn’t go to them all but I hope to visit as many as I can over the rest of the summer. Plus, I want to make a trip out to the organic farm we have on John’s Island, close to Charleston. I love that it’s all organic!
“Summer Camp” this week is about child-like fun. I started remembering some things I liked to do as a kid during the summer and have plans in place to relive some old memories. But then in this age of technology, I’m embracing some new “kid” fun. They have just released a Harry Potter game for my iPhone called “Wizards Unite!” It. Is. So. Much. Fun! I’m so glad my daughter (the ultimate Harry Potter fan) introduced me to it. Hopefully, I’ll be able to show some of my pictures on social of my “Play Time” this week.
Now for this week’s Journal Prompts or “Sparks” as I like to call them. This week the theme is Confidence In Yourself!
- What are 5 things you love about yourself?
- What compliment do people give you the most?
- What is your favorite mental attribute about yourself?
- What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself?
- What are you good at?
- What is your greatest strength?
- How can you help others feel more confident?
These prompts will definitely have you doing some soul searching. And I can’t wait to put all this journaling information in a book just for you! It’s coming soon!
