Wow! Can you believe that yesterday we officially welcomed in November? This year has been so crazy that the months have seemed to melt one into another. But now it’s time for the holidays!
Ready To Decorate?
When I was scrolling through my social media feeds yesterday looking at cute Halloween costumes, I was amazed at the amount of people pulling out their Christmas decorations! Almost every post said that 2020 has been a bit rough so why not pull out the decorations and enjoy them for the next two months. Most said they needed something bright and cheery and I have to say that holiday decorations are definitely a way to take your mind off things.
How About Holiday Movies?
Plus, all the holiday shows and movies that are already playing on TV. Of course, the Hallmark and Lifetime Channels start their movies early but it seems like there is more this year. I watched the cutest movie yesterday – “Noelle” – on Disney+ and will certainly be adding it to my “Must Watch” holiday movie list from now on.
Now Let’s Journal!
So, since many people are getting into the holiday spirit let’s journal about the upcoming holidays. Use the following prompts to help you formulate a plan, write about holiday memories and much more.
1.What holiday movies do you watch every year?
2. When do you start decorating for the holidays?
3. Write about your favorite holiday tradition. Why is it so special?
4. What is your favorite holiday song?
5. If you love to cook, what is your favorite food to make this time of year?
6. What is a happy holiday memory?
7. Do you like to make presents for people or buy them instead?
We’ll be exploring more holiday journaling prompts in the coming weeks because there is so much you can journal about during these next two months. Hopefully the holiday season will help lessen the stress we’ve all felt during this year. And soon we’ll start journaling about our plans for 2021!
PS – Join me on Facebook and Instagram as I celebrate “Grateful November”. Each day I write about something I’m grateful for – the big things and the small. Share your gratitude moments in the comments. See ya there!
