So maybe this post isn’t about a craft project but I think it is a bit creative. I’m talking about “Walk The House”!
Due to an illness I deal with, it is hard for me to get the exercise I should. When fatigue sets in, the last thing I want to do is go for a bike ride, out for a walk and I can’t go to a gym. Home exercise equipment can cost a pretty penny so what’s a girl to do? Walk The House!
Yep, that’s right – In house walking. I know it may sound a bit crazy but it works. I got the idea some time ago from Leslie Sansome who developed several video programs geared to walking in place in your home and getting in shape. After doing some research, I found that this method can really work and is great for those times when the weather is bad or you just don’t want to go out to walk and exercise. The best thing is that it doesn’t cost you anything but maybe some good walking shoes and your time. You basically step in place at a quick pace or actually walk around your house at a faster pace.
For me, I did invest in the Jawbone Move Up fitness tracker and love it! It keeps track of my steps, sleep patterns, weight and more.
So if you want to exercise and you want something easy, get some walking shoes, put on some great music and start “Walk The House”!
