Let’s Plan For A Rockin’ 2019!

Well, we’re definitely making progress in getting ready for the New Year! Have a feeling we are going to rock 2019! And for today, we’re now ready to plan our year.

Now that you have your “word for the year” to guide you and you’ve written your intentions/goals, it’s time to break those goals down into smaller, manageable tasks. Sometimes this can get a bit overwhelming but please don’t let it. As you take each goal and write the steps needed to accomplish the goal, just keep breaking down each task into the smallest baby steps. These little steps will take you toward your dreams without overwhelming you. Remember also that this planning stage could take some time so don’t feel discouraged if you don’t have everything accomplished by 1/1/19.

PlannerAfter you have the tasks written down, next it’s time to put them in your planner. By putting your tasks on specific days, you have a better chance of getting it done thus moving you forward on your path toward your goal.

Your choice of a planner is up to you. There are so many good ones on the market – all you have to do is Google “planner” and you will find page after page of possibilities.  I personally like to make my own planner. Or if I buy a traditional one, I fix it up with extra pages and decorate it to make it my own. Right now, I making a spiral-bound planner but with the projects I have planned, I may move to a 3-ring binder (which I used for almost 20 years). But the tech girl in me likes a new digital planner I’ve found by Boho Berry. The more I used it on my iPad Pro, the more I like it. Combine this with my journal, which I keep all my notes, gratitude lists, accomplishments, habit tracker, and more, I’m more organized and know what I have to do and what I’ve done so far. I know it sounds like a lot but it really isn’t. I plan to make a video in January to show you how I keep track of all my stuff!

So today, to get your name in the drawing for the Journal Giveaway, all you have to answer is this question: Do you have a planner and if not, when are you going to get one or make one? A planner is so important and goes right along with your journal.

Remember, comment on the blog post for your name to be entered into the giveaway 5 times. A comment on social media will earn you an entry and if you share the post that’s another entry!

Can’t wait to hear about your planners!

Big Hugs!

Yes, I have my planner. I’m hoping my first hippopotamus will be completed in 30 days, but I plan to put it on my 90 day list. Maybe backwards thinking, but it’s a goal.

  2. I haven’t purchased a planner, but I have a pretty notebook that has the elastic to hold things in. Tomorrow or Monday I’m going to but some stickers, highlighters and some more colored pencils..
I tend to doodle at times!

  3. I don’t have a planner yet! I am so excited about it though and can’t wait to get one! I will be buying one next week!

  4. I couldn’t find where to comment about Vision board. But I think it is a great idea!! I’m going to try to make one!

  5. I want to comment on vision board too but don’t see a place. I’m ready with the board, markers, fabric and photos!
