Okay – I can say I’m officially obsessed! I have found this new world of digital planners and though, at the moment, I’m still learning, they’re so much fun and allow me to stretch my creativity.
I have to say first that I love gadgets. When a new tech gadget is released I totally geek out. My latest purchase was the new iPad Pro 2018 12.9” tablet when it was released in early November 2018. Though I have had an iPad since the first one was introduced, I LOVE this new one!
Next, you know how I like to be creative. I’m learning to draw and paint on my iPad with the help of a few cool apps. When I found out that I could actually create a planner/journal with stickers, weird fonts and digital Washi tape, to say I was excited is an understatement.
I’ve been watching videos on digital planners, trying new techniques and doing my best not to purchase any new digital add-ons from Etsy till I’ve mastered the planner itself. I purchased my digital planner from BohoBerry.com. I use it with the Goodnotes app and so far I love it. It is definitely different than pen and paper (which I still have – I know a bit much) and I like the convenience of being able to take it with me when I’m out and about. I’m still able to be creative wherever I may be: sitting at the beach, at the park, waiting on an appointment, etc. I can even take a picture with my iPad, put it in the journal section of the planner and write my thoughts! How cool!
I like the fact that learning something new like this is exercise for the brain. I know, sometimes we get a little too much “brain” exercise (Stress!) but taking the time to learn something new is good for all of us. It doesn’t matter what your age. I can say that sometimes I can get pretty tired with mental exercise (especially when writing my novels) but it is a good kind of tired. And when you have mastered the task, it builds your confidence. So many wins!
So are you learning anything new right now?
