Hey everyone! Journal Prompts are back and what better time than NOW to write out those thoughts and feelings. I mean 2020 so far has been a series of ups and downs leaving a lot of emotions that I think we all need to sort out.
I know personally that I feel like I’ve been on a rollercoaster this year. From the excitement of becoming a first-time grandmother to the disconcerting feeling of having 3 COVID19 tests already (due to my underlying medical conditions and thank goodness all were negative!) and so much sandwiched in between! With everything we’re all going through, what was important last year or even 5 years ago may seem trivial now. Those goals and dreams we set on January 1st of this year may have disappeared (I hope not though!) so I my goal by asking these questions will help you see where you are now and how you want to move forward.
1. Today, right now, how are you feeling emotionally? Right down all those feelings in detail or, if you prefer, just make a list. Just write it all down.
2. Today, right now, how are you feeling physically? You have to admit we’ve been experiencing stress and that affects us mentally and physically. Once again, just write it all down.
3. Write down your goals for the rest of 2020. You might want to still keep the ones you began with on New Year’s Day. I know personally, mine have been modified. I’ve pivoted in light of the current situation but I still have those dreams I want to achieve.
4. What are some things you can do for relaxation and selfcare? This is SO IMPORTANT! To be honest, I have trouble with this but I’m slowly getting better in this area.
If you joined me before for journal prompts, I would always give out 7 ideas/questions – one for each day of the week. But I think the ones above are pretty heavy duty so I’m going to leave it at 4 this week! You might even take one prompt and write about it over a few days. My hope is that they help you clarify where you are right now
