The big holiday week is upon us: Thanksgiving (for us here in the USA)! I only have one journal prompt for the entire week: What are you thankful for?
If you have been following any of my social media accounts, I have been posting one thing each day that I’m grateful for from something as small as my fuzzy slippers to individual members of my family. For me (and most people) it’s easy to identify the big items that we are blessed with but I also wanted to take notice the small things that make life nice too. So many of you have been following along, listing what you are grateful for and I have loved reading the responses.
As I said earlier, there’s only one journal prompt for the entire week: What are thankful/grateful for? Each day write down at least one thing you are grateful for and why. If you want you can make list each day. I personally do a gratitude exercise each morning writing down 5 things I’m grateful for that happened in the last 24 hours. This little practice has helped me so much to appreciate the small and big things in life that I highly encourage everyone I know to do this. Gratitude journaling has been around for a long time but until you do it, you don’t know the positive impact it will have on your life.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday week and that each day you write about the gratitude and blessings that surround no matter what your circumstances.
