Most people have a tendency to put their self-care last on their list. They put other people’s needs ahead of their own. There is a time and place for that but taking care of you should be #1.
Yes, it may sound selfish and I’ve talked about this in previous blog posts. But if you don’t take care of yourself, then you can’t be your best “you”, be able to help others especially your family and so much more. You need to put yourself first most of the time!
With that being said, what will you do this weekend to take care of you? Yes, your weekend may be filled with a laundry list of things to do, places to go and more but you need to carve out some time for you to unwind and relax – even for only 5 minutes. Every bit helps!
As for me, it is probably another weekend spent indoors though right now it is gorgeous outside. This pollen season is affecting me more than normal. We’re expecting some high pollen counts over the next few days but we also have rain in the forecast. Yessss! That will help dampen the pollen flying in the air. The good news (I hope) is that this wave of yellow dust is calming down. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Since I’m staying indoors, I have a few projects I want to do, here on my website and computer plus a project in my writer/art nook. Plus, I’m slowly writing that book. This one is taking a bit longer than normal but will be worth it.
So please take so time this weekend for a little self-care. We all need it!
