It’s A Paperwork Weekend

[Sassy_Social_Share]

Yes, this weekend I’m spending it at home surrounded by paper – everywhere! Only because it’s time to get taxes done – ugh.

Papers, PaperworkBut before I can get to the tax info I need to open my mail. I’m terrible about opening it when it comes in. It has a tendency to sit all week unopened which I think drives my husband crazy. But since I’ve not been feeling on my “A” game lately I venture to say there is probably 2-3 weeks of mail to open and go through. Another ugh! Here some good advice: open mail daily or at least every other day. Sitting with a very high pile of envelopes is overwhelming though I have a feeling 90% of it is junk.

The other papers to go through are those all-important ones for my accountant so we can finish up the books for 2018. Though I’m getting more organized, I seem to save my household/business paperwork for last which probably isn’t a good thing. You see my creative brain likes the pretty stuff, not the numbers, but it’s time to get a hold on what’s going on there.

Now I should say I know what shape our finances are in but I’m just not a paperwork gal. Well, I take that back. I like organizers and planners I can decorate and use as a journal but as you know that’s not I’m talking about here.

So this weekend I’m organizing paper. And though it is pretty outside and our temperatures are nice, it’s probably a good thing for me to stay indoors. The pollen outside is thick right now and it’s not being nice to me this year. Not sure why but my body is over-reacting to the yellow stuff flying in the air. Indoors I shall stay, at least for a little while.

I hope you are able to enjoy your weekend and have some fun. I might be doing paperwork but I have the TV on watching/listening to some of my favorite shows or listening to a book or podcast. So it’s not so bad.

Big Hugs!
