When I was growing up, I heard this saying many times: The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
I always knew what this meant. Maybe things aren’t quite like you want them in your are in life right now but don’t go somewhere else thinking it will be better because it won’t be. There is another saying that helps explain this: Wherever you go, there you are.
In other words, a change of scenery won’t change your life. That is why I like this little quote:
You have to water your grass right where you are planted. Will it take time to grow some roots? Sure! Might not see instantaneous growth? Probably so. Does it take time? Yep! Is it worth the wait and the work? You bet!
So water where you are planted right now. Make the most of what you have even if it’s not much. With love and work, your dreams and goals will come true. Maybe not exactly like you planned it but probably even better because you stayed where you were and worked instead of chasing the latest, greatest thing.
