Pin, Pin, Pin Away!
I know that may sound silly but I absolutely ADORE Pinterest! I almost feel like I can search this app and find more there than when I’m searching on Google. Well, almost.
I’ve had a Pinterest account for quite some time – really since Pinterest first came onto the Internet scene. I always like to try out the newest apps, software and gadgets (remember I’m a tech geek girl!). At first I think I must have had a gazillion boards but finally narrowed it down to around 50. Each board contained so many things I liked, wanted to show to others, wanted to try/make and more. I was giddy every time I found something new.
But then I drifted away. When I began writing my novels, Google, my personal memories/stories and my photos became the background for my stories in those first novels. I didn’t really think Pinterest could help me. Plus having time to do all those projects that I thought were so cute – I was too busy typing away on my laptop.
Then one day I needed a break from everything and clicked on the Pinterest app. Things had changed a bit but my boards were still there. As I sifted through some of my Pins, I thought about how I could change my boards to things that would not only interest me but others too. And what about boards for my novels? Or secret research boards? Oh boy – I was in love with Pinterest all over again. I even took a course on how to use all its functions and now it’s my favorite app. I can share so many things with you and also share the things I make using Pinterest for inspiration (though you might see them in a blog post too).
Are you on Pinterest? If not, please give it a try. Just imagine a giant bulletin board that keeps all your information stored for you, either in secret where no one can see your Pins but you, or public boards where you share your latest find. Now, if you’re already on Pinterest – great! Please hop over to my page: Miki Bennett. I’m always sharing the latest cool project/gadget/story/recipe/home décor/book – well this list could go on for quite awhile. I love sharing things that make me happy and that I’m passionate about. I hope to see you there!
Big Hugs Everyone and Keep or Start Pinning!
