Social Media Fun!
Ah – social media. It’s one of those things you either like or you don’t. But for me I have to say it’s a combination.
I’ve been on social media a little over nine years. In the beginning I really didn’t think much about it and rarely looked at any of my feeds. My daughter was the one that showed me the ropes and thought I should give it a try.
Today it is one of the ways I stay in touch with my family, friends and, of course, my readers. It can be fun but at times it can become a bit dramatic. I have a tendency to gravitate toward people that are encouraging or showing me things I want to learn about such as books I want to read or projects I want to try. As far as debating on social media? Not for me though I have some friends that love it. I get stressed sometimes just reading their posts so I admittedly skip by them more often. Life can be stressful enough without adding social media into the mix.
But here are a few people I love to follow on social media because they have a tendency to share some great content:
Health & Home:
Lisa Leake – 100 Days Of Real Food
Medical Medium
Whole Healthy Lifestyle
One Good Thing by Jillee
Authors:
Rachel Hollis
JK Rowling
Mary Alice Monroe
Mary Kay Andrews
Sheri Fink (children’s book author)
A Little Humor:
Dry Bar Comedy
Creative Side:
So for my creativity I really go to Pinterest. I keep a secret board with all finds that I might want to try one day – from crafts to DIY projects.
Just Because:
NASA
MuggleNet (Harry Potter site)
Jimmy Buffett (love his beach vibe)
These are just some of the people or groups that I find interesting and love their posts. They are usually informative, helpful or uplifting – we can always use a little more “positive” in our lives. As I find more interesting people or sites to follow, I’ll be sure to let you know. I’ll also be keeping a resource page on my website to sites I think you might be interested in reading.
Happy Day Everyone!
