So my husband might not agree with the title of this blog but I’m delighted about what is going on in our garage. Slowly but surely, soon, there’ll be an outdoor DIY space for a bunch of projects I have plans to make.
Jeff has wanted to fix up our garage for some time now. Back in January, he cleaned out the space (which was a HUGE project), and then put together the plans to fix up the space for outdoor projects. He’s been doing a little each weekend: cleaning, insulating, putting walls up and now the first workbenches are done. Yay!
I have no doubt that he’ll have everything finished by the end of April or the middle of May, just in time for some household projects I want to do. One thing I want to make is a new headboard! I have two ideas in mind but definitely needed a bigger space than my art/writer nook to make it. Then I have Pinterest board full of other ideas that I would like to try so I can’t wait for him to finish the garage.
I told him I would help, but this is a project he wanted to do by himself and I totally understand. I was like that with my art/writer nook because I had a certain look for the room that I had imagined and put down on paper. I know it’s great to have someone there who’s willing to help but at other times it’s easier to do the project yourself instead of giving directions. So I’m letting Jeff do this all by himself (unless he asks for help).
So DIY projects, here I come – well, when I take writing breaks as I continue working on my new book!
