Well, it’s Day 5 and the final day of Getting Ready for a Terrific 2019! I hope the suggestions over the last few days have helped you put some plans in place as you look forward to the New Year.
So now that we have our “word” for the year, we’ve (are in the process of) decluttered, wrote our goals/intentions and then broke them down into doable tasks, we on the last step that can help us on our journey to a great New Year: a Vision Board.
I love Vision Boards, or what I like to call them, Treasure Maps. To see your goals as though they are already a part of your life by seeing the pictures or drawings of what is desired is powerful. I know after I create my Vision Board, I take a picture of it and I print a bunch out, putting my “board” around the house: bathroom, bedroom, closet, kitchen. Just seeing the board reinforces what I want to accomplish in the New Year.
So get creative and make a vision board! You can use poster board, cardboard, canvas, bulletin board – just something that you can put pictures, words and drawings on that show you what you are working toward. I also like to make mine colorful using markers, paper, Washi tape, fabric and embellishments. You make your board all yours and it will help you all year long.
For today to get your name entered in the drawing for the journals tomorrow, answer the following question in the comments: Have you made a vision board before and when are you going to make yours for 2019? As for me, I will take the next few weeks or most of January to make my board. It might not take me that long but I like to put a lot of thought into it and make it all mine.
Tomorrow afternoon, I’ll be announcing the winners of the journals and I can’t wait! I hope the 5 Day “Get Ready for 2019” series has helped you get ready for a fantastic year!
Big Hugs!
Miki
I have the board, markers, fabric and photos. Ready to do this tomorrow!
Never heard of it but sounds very helpful,!! Will be working on one during the new week!
I have a board, markers, colored pencils and fabric. I will begin it tomorrow!
Miki I’ve never made a treasure board, however what a nifty idea! I think those boards that have the elastic where you can hold pics in it would make a great board. Goals/accomplishments
can be added or taken away. Great ideas!
I have a board, markers. Fabric and colored pencils. I’m ready to start tomorrow!
I make one every year~ I haven’t done one for 2019 because I was supposed to lead a workshop and teach others how to do it, but I have changed my plans. I will be creating mine this weekend!
I have never had a vision board but it sounds great! Will give it a try!
I am working on my vision board now. Went through magazines for inspiring words. Even found a little tidbit on how learning a new skill reduces early Alzheimer’s. Going to add texture to board, a variety of yarn colors.
Never made one it is a good idea.
