Can You Imagine Your Perfect Weekend?

Can you believe the weekend is upon us again? Already? This was a busy week so my hope is for the next few days to be relaxing. But someone once asked me what I envisioned as my perfect weekend. As I thought about it, a couple of scenarios came to mind.

Beach, Feet in the Water, Walking on the beach, Walking in the surfThe first one would be me at a beach house. Each morning I wake up, go for a morning walk along the shore, watching the sunrise. My day would be spent either on the beach or on a porch overlooking the ocean, maybe writing my newest book, reading a good book, drawing, journaling or maybe doing nothing at all! The evenings would be spent with family and friends, watching the sunset and most likely having some sort of cookout while we listen to the waves roll in. Before going to bed I would definitely take a walk in the sand before lying down for a bit of stargazing. The beach is perfect for this because of the lack of ambient light (unless there is a full moon and that is beautiful too!).

My next scenario might sound a bit unusual because it’s completely opposite from my first one. But if it were a rainy weekend, I’d get up, make a very Southern homemade breakfast then spend the rest of the day probably watching movies or binging on Netflix. I’m certain that I’d probably do some writing because for some reason rainy days bring out my imaginative side when it comes to my stories. Plus, if I were home, I would spend time in my art nook trying a new craft. The evening would be a quick and fast meal, still trying to keep it healthy but with as little prep as possible. Oh, and still relaxing but now maybe with a good book.

These are just two possible scenarios I can envision (I can see a few more!) and there are times where what I imagined has come close to reality. Maybe not spending the weekend at a beach house but the beach is close enough that I can go watch a sunrise or sunset. Even spend the whole day by the shore if I wanted. And as for those rainy weekends, I’ve done a few of those too and they’re just as nice.

So now I ask you: How would you describe your perfect weekend?
