This week’s book recommendation is “The Happiness Project” by Gretchen Rubin. It’s been a while since I read the book but I still like the suggestions put forth in the book so I had to share it with you today.
What I liked about this book was how one woman was determined to put more happiness in her life where she was. Gretchen didn’t travel anywhere to search for herself or depend on others to make her happy. She took one year to put routines or habits in place that she found would bring her happiness right where she was. She learned new ways of being, thinking and doing – from small to large ideas – that brought her and her family happiness.
I really like personal development books that help you grow and offer advice that help you in whatever stage of life you are in and this book fits that criteria. I will also say though that some of her suggestions didn’t fit into my lifestyle but I’m sure there are ideas in “The Happiness Project” that will strike a chord with you.
