The “Journal Spark Project” has arrived and I’m excited! This is something I’ve wanted to do for some time.
The “Journal Spark Project” is a way to help people who want to journal but wonder: “What do I write about?” This is especially difficult for people who are new to journaling but for seasoned pros, the ideas may offer a new idea or two. That’s where the “Sparks” come into play.
“Journal Sparks” or you could say prompts, will be ideas in the form of questions or statements to ask yourself and give it some thought. Then you’ll write, doodle, draw – whatever – in your journal about the topic. It’s that simple! No special journal or book required. You can even use a notebook if you want to. It’s whatever fits your lifestyle.
I decided to use the word “Spark” instead of prompts because I wanted something different. I settled on the word “Spark” because I want to spark your thoughts, feelings and imagination around a subject. Spark just seemed like the right word for this project.
I’ll also be sharing more about journaling in general like books, blank journals, pens, ways to journal and more. There is so much creativity surrounding journaling that I hope you find this fun.
So are you ready for this week’s “Journal Sparks”? Here they are and watch for a new list each Monday!
- What is your most favorite thing to do to relax?
- What is your favorite color and why?
- What is your favorite type of weather: sunny, cloudy, rainy, hot, cold?
- What is your food and why?
- What is your favorite thing about yourself?
- What is your favorite song?
- What is your favorite childhood memory?
You can probably see a pattern here – your favorites! There are many more “favorites” we could write about but we will save them for later. My goal is to remind you each day of the “Journal Spark” of the day on social media so I hope that helps. As you can tell I’m very excited about this!
