So this is a blog post that is certainly different from the others I’ve written. We’re in the middle of preparing for Hurricane Dorian to pay us a visit here in the Lowcountry of South Carolina!
We’re ready with our emergency kit, extra food, water and generator ready to go. But it’s been hard these last few days to concentrate on what I wanted to share with you for journal prompts since my attention has been pulled elsewhere. But then I came up with just one journal prompt for the entire week.
So here is your prompt for the week: How do you handle stress? This is one topic that you could write about every single day! List the ways you handle stress – good or bad (a bag of M&M’s anyone? – LOL!). Write about better ways to handle things when tension arises. Write about the current stressors in your life that could use some TLC. Write about stress, something that affects us all.
Even though some people may think this is a negative topic, it really isn’t. It may help you work out issues about how you feel about stress and learn how to handle things differently from the way you think to how you respond. I know that with this storm coming close to our city, the watching, the waiting, the preparing – it’s all stressful so I’ll probably have A LOT to write about. We shall see.
