A Night At The Beach Dancing Under The Stars

Dancing Under The Stars!

Yes, last night that is exactly what my husband and I did: went to the Moonlight Mixers Dance at Folly Beach at the end of the pier. To say it was nice is an understatement!

First of all, I got to go to the beach. Any day that includes some time by the ocean is #1 in my book but the beach in the evening is so relaxing. We went to the movies on the beach a few weeks ago but now it was time for music under the stars.

The dance took place at the end of the Folly Pier and all age groups were present. Most of the music was good ole beach music with a bit of ‘70s groove too. And though it was a dance, we sat and watched everyone, enjoying the wonderful dancers and the laid back music. Definitely a nice break from a hectic week.

Dancing, Dancing Outside, Dancing Under The Stars, Dance By The Ocean, Ocean, Sea, Beach,The special treat was a HUGE thunderstorm that passed by us. What a light show! I videoed quite a bit and it was very spectacular. But as you know, Jeff and I love watching the weather systems around us so if we weren’t watching some incredible dance moves, we were watching an amazing light show in the sky.

I know the summer is winding down but if your community is doing anything like this – movies in the park, dancing under the moonlight, county fairs, farmer’s markets – try to go! They are so much fun and make for a great date night or family time!

Hope You Are Having A Wonderful Weekend!

PS – Sorry for the “grainy” picture of the thunderstorm but I just had to try to show you a small glimpse of what we watched last night.
